Warm cabbage, onion and apple slaw
Ingredients
- 1 pieces red onion, very thinly sliced
- 1 medium green cabbage
- 1 medium savoy cabbage, shredded finely
- 2 large apples, peeled
- 2 large apples, cored
- 2 large apples, thinly sliced
- olive oil
- salt
- pepper
- balsamic vinegar
Directions
Heat a little oil in a large pan and saute the onions for a few minutes. Just before they start to brown, add the apples, cook for a minute then add the cabbage, a dash of vinegar, seasoning and a little water. Stir over a hot flame until everything is combined well and the cabbage is barely cooked.
This dish is great served with pork or roast chicken.
