Two nut chocolate torte
Recipe yields 8 portions
Ingredients
- 250 grams butter
- 150 grams walnuts
- 150 grams almonds
- 300 grams dark chocolate
- 100 grams sugar
- 6 pieces eggs, separated
Directions
Grease and line a spring-form cheesecake mould.
Grind nuts to a powder in a food processor. Add 200g of the chocolate and whizz up in food processor.
Cream together butter and sugar then beat in the egg yolks. Mix in the combined nuts and chocolate.
Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks. Mix in a little of the egg white to loosen up the nut mixture. Gently fold the remaining egg whites into the mixture.
Pour into mould, then take remaining chocolate and push squares randomly into the cake mixture.
Bake at 190C for about 1 hour.
