Tomato Ketchup

Ingredients

  • 3.5 kilograms tomatoes, roughly chopped
  • 1 kilograms apples, peeled
  • 1 kilograms apples, chored
  • 1 kilograms apples, chopped
  • 6 pieces onions, chopped
  • 800 grams sugar
  • 1 litres malt vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 12 pieces peppercorns
  • 12 pieces alllspice berries
  • 12 pieces cloves

Directions

Tie up the peppercorns, allspice and cloves in a muslin bag. Place all the ingredients in a pan, bring to a boil, and reduce to a simmer; cook until the ingredients are a pulp, abotu 2 hours. Remove from the head and press through a sieve. Return to the pan and boil for 2-3 minutes, then decant into sterilized jars and seal.
