Orange Drizzle Cake

Recipe yields 20 portions

Ingredients

  • 340 grams unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 340 grams caster sugar
  • 340 grams self-raising flour, sifted
  • salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 pieces oranges
  • 180 grams icing sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 170C. Grease and line baking tin. Place butter, caster sugar, flour, salt, eggs and finely grated orange zest in a large electric mixer and beat for 3 minutes until well combined. Bake for about 35 minutes.

Warm orange juice and icing sugar until sugar has dissolved. Pour the orange syrup over the cake when it comes out of the oven.
