Fruit ice cream

Recipe yields 2 litres

Ingredients

  • 1.3 kilograms apples
  • plums
  • strawberries
  • 450 grams caster sugar
  • 250 milliliters double cream

Directions

Make a purée of the fruit: cook with a little water until soft, then pass through a sieve. Reduce if too runny.

Warm the cream and sugar together until the sugar has dissolved (do not boil). Combine with the fruit purée. Churn in ice cream machine.
